I SCREAM YOU SCREAM, EVERYONE LOVE ICE CREAM. You must’ve tried each flavor in an ice cream parlor. Such as cotton candy, mint, etc. So You would probably think that this is the limit to creative ice cream flavors. But that’s where you’re wrong. So Here’s a list of all the weird ice cream flavors we could find online…

There are two dozen attractions within Tokyo’s indoor amusement park, Namja Town. But it would be easy to spend all your time there trying the many Weird ice cream flavors at Ice Cream City. Where Raw Horse Flesh, Cow Tongue, Salt, Yakisoba, Octopus, and Squid are among the various absurd flavors.

“Salty-sweet” is the preferred palette at Portland, Oregon-based Salt & Straw, where sugar and spice blend together nicely with flavors like Strawberry Honey Balsamic Strawberry With Cracked Pepper and Pear With Blue Cheese, a well-balanced mix of sweet Oregon Trail Bartlett Pears mixed with crumbles of Rogue Creamery’s award-winning Crater Lake Blue Cheese. Yum?

“Traditional” isn’t the word you’d choose to describe any of the 100 ice cream varieties at The Ice Cream Store in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. They don’t have vanilla, they have African Vanilla or Madagascar Vanilla Bean. But things only get wilder from there, and the shop’s proprietors clearly have a penchant for the spicy stuff. In addition to their Devil’s Breath Carolina Reaper Pepper Ice Cream—a bright red vanilla ice cream mix with cinnamon and a Carolina Reaper pepper mash—there’s also the classic Ghost Pepper Ice Cream, which featured in a Ripley’s Believe It or Not book in 2016. Just be warned: you’ll have to sign a waiver if you plan to order either flavor.

The sweet-toothed scientists at New York City’s Il Laboratorio del Gelato have never met a flavor they didn’t like—or want to turn into ice cream. How else would one explain the popularity of their Fig & Fresh Brown Turkey gelato, a popular selection among the hundreds of flavors they have created thus far. (Beet and Cucumber are just two of their other fascinating flavors.)

Lobster

Don’t let the “chocolate” in the title fool you: Ben & Bill’s Chocolate Emporium in Bar Harbor, Maine makes the most of The Pine Tree State’s most famous delicacy with its signature Lobster Ice Cream, a butter ice cream-based treat with fresh (again buttered) lobster folded into each bite.

Cheetos

Big Gay Ice Cream started out as an experimental ice cream truck and morphed into one of New York City’s most swoon-worthy ice cream shops, where the toppings make for an inimitable indulgence. One of their most unique culinary inventions? A Cheetos-inspired cone, where vanilla and cheese ice cream is dipped in Cheetos dust.

6 Weird Candy Flavors & Types You’ve Got To Try

Published

on

By

You probably must be sifting through your usual candy flavor’s you see in a shop. Maybe you’ll be wanting to try something new, exciting, fresh and weird. Here’s a list of really weird candy flavors we could find online that took crazy and weird to another level.

Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans

Harry Potter Jelly Bean

via- Opie’s Candy Store

This is a pretty familiar treat, but we thought it deserved the number 1 spot because rather than just looking or feeling gross, some flavors of these candies from the magical Harry Potter universe are actually supposed to taste disgusting.

The notoriously worst flavors? Grass, black pepper, dirt, sausage, earwax, soap, booger, vomit, and rotten egg. Taste at your own peril!

Wasabi Kit-Kat

One more stop in Japan, folks. As many may know, Japan is famous for its hundreds of quirky Kit Kats with unusual flavors, from the scrumptiously novel green tea to the stranger but still sweet red bean flavor. But would you try a wasabi Kit Kat?

Spicy candies aren’t unique to Japan, or even a new concept, but a wasabi candy bar certainly sounds like it’s not for the faint-hearted.

Crime Scene Candy Tubes

Most people don’t want bodily fluids anywhere near their candy, which is what makes this novelty Halloween treat especially horrifying.

Crime scene candy tubes look exactly like they sound – sealed plastic forensic tubes filled with “saliva,” “blood,” and “urine” (!!!) samples. Or more accurately, sweet syrups in apple, red, and lemonade flavors.

Box of Boogers Gummy Candy

Weird Candy

Like urine samples, we prefer not to think of boogers and candy in the same sentence. That hasn’t stopped the makers of Box of Boogers candy from creating squishy green gummy candies made to look like something you’ve picked out of your nose.

If the texture isn’t enough to make you scream, check out the three distinct flavors: Snottermelon, Sour Green Boogy, and Lemon Loogy. Please make it stop!

Sour Flush Candy Toilets

We’ll depart from weird candy flavors for a moment to discuss a rather conventional candy wrapped up in a very unconventional theme. You read that right: toilets.

Sour Flush candy is some of the most popular kids’ sour candy around. The gross concept – dipping candy “plungers” into a toilet bowl full of sour sugar, Baby Bottle Pop style – is mitigated somewhat by the super fun bright colors. We’d try it!

BBQ PayDay Bar

Just to get your feet wet, we’ll start with an unexpected twist on a familiar candy classic.

In 2017, Hershey released the “Taste of America” line of its most popular candies, each featuring a classic flavor from a different U.S. state. While Florida got orange- and Key Lime Pie-flavored Kit Kats, Texas got the BBQ PayDay.

No shade against barbecue here, whether on ribs or potato chips, but candy bars? As far as we know, the trend has yet to go viral…

Thank you so much for reading! 🙂

The power of your brain is immeasurable. As the control center of your body, it allows your heart to beat, the lungs to breathe, and lets you move, feel and think. Because the brain is such an energy-intensive organ, it uses around 20 percent of the body’s calories. That said, it requires an abundance of nutrients and good fuel to stay healthy.  So it needs brain food.

Food may play a very important role in our lives than we normally think. Like everything else in your body, the brain cannot work without energy. The ability to concentrate and focus comes from an adequate, steady supply of energy. This energy is in the form of glucose in our blood, to the brain. Find out about some of the food items that are absolute gold for your brain health.

Blueberries

Via healthline

Not only are blueberries delicious, but they are good for your brain.  Evidence accumulated at Tufts University suggests that the consumption of blueberries may help improve or delay short term memory loss.  Research also shows that this readily available fruit may help protect the brain from the damage caused by free radicals and may reduce the effects of age-related conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease.

Salmon

Via BBC

Salmon is one of the healthiest fishes you could have. Fatty fish like salmon are the ultimate brain food.  Essential fatty acids (EFAs) cannot be made by the body. This means we should eat it in our diet. The most effective omega-3 fats occur naturally in oily fish in the form of EPA and DHA. For brain health, two servings of fish per week are recommended. For all the seafood lovers it must be an absolute treat to know this.

Dark Chocolate

Via Medical today

Calling all sweet tooths, here’s a dessert you can feel good about!  Dark chocolate contains flavonoids, which are strong antioxidants that can improve blood flow to the brain and reduce inflammation. Antioxidants are especially important for brain health, as the brain is highly susceptible to oxidative stress caused by it. See all that chocolates our parents wanted to keep us away from, actually turns out are pretty healthy.

Turmeric

Brain Food

Via Healthline

Spice up your life, while contributing to a healthier brain by consuming turmeric, one of the most colorful and versatile ingredients in your cabinet. This beloved Indian spice is packed with antioxidants, particularly curcumin, one of the most potent and naturally occurring anti-inflammatory agents ever identified. It is said that turmeric provides a solid immunity as well. So it’s a win-win situation.

Coffee

Brain Food

Via Diabetes UK

Whether enjoyed in the morning to start the day or for a late afternoon pick-me-up, your cup of joe has been shown to improve memory and potentially decrease the risk of dementia. Coffee is also a source of antioxidants, which may support brain health as a person gets older.  Studies have linked lifelong coffee consumption with reduced risk of dementia, stroke etc. Not a coffee drinker?  Black and green teas also contain brain-boosting antioxidants, so sip away!

Beans

Brain Food

Via Simply Recipes

Inexpensive, convenient and versatile, beans are the ultimate brain-friendly food. Beans pack a powerful punch of brain-friendly nutrients including magnesium, zinc, fiber, antioxidants, and folate. Moreover, they are a classic breakfast right. Beans can be very tasty when cooked properly. They are a wonderful vegetable and we all ought to make use of it.

In addition to a healthy diet, exercise also helps to keep our brains sharp. Research suggests that regular exercise improves cognitive function, slows down the mental ageing process and helps us process information more effectively.  Experts recommend at least 150 minutes of exercise per week to support the brain and body.

Everything is cake

On July 8, 2020, a video surfaced the internet and went viral that deemed that Everything is Cake! The video had was posted on @redrosecake_tubageckil Instagram account. The video has now garnered 150,000 tweets. The ‘real’ not ‘cake’ talent behind these videos is Turkish chef Tuba Geçkil. On their page, you will find videos of objects that are either of everyday use and consumption, or a celebrity you extremely adore that is actually made of cake! A special montage video was shared by Buzzfeed Tasty on their Instagram @buzzfeedtasty that shows this play with our optical illusion:

These realistic looking cakes took the world by a storm and spawned “everything is cake” memes. The cakes have turned into a satire for all our generalizations: something may look like itself without necessarily being the same on the inside. The inside can indeed be a sweet, moist cake!

LITERALLY EVERYTHING IS CAKE!

But this has just doubled the already existing uncertainties. Something that looks like its original form but ends into a cake adds to the existential fear. For instance, here’s a video of chicken legs that are after all..cake!

THE EXISTENTIAL FEAR

These videos may be satisfying for some but besides the fascination, people are unsettled by the distrust they are facing. The generalizations have been falsified and there’s nothing they can do but anxiously ignore the “Everything is cake” videos. The knife cutting through the almost real objects such as the Crocs and a roll of toilet paper is enough to cut our expectations.

Twitter has been at the receiving point of these memes and in turn, countering the existentialism they are facing. Twitteratis are divided on the debate whether these cakes are ‘tasty’ or outright ‘disgusting’. More than disgusting, people find content unsettling and disturbing. One such video is the cake of the BTS band member Jimin which follows a trigger warning.

The rise in the existential wave has in fact made us wonder and question whether the world around us is, in fact, cake! The predictability and a fine structure of events are becoming hard to comprehend. We need news and content that is solidifying and protecting. With the rise of faux-cake videos, the last hope of food as a savior has been defamed and defied. It is pure betrayal. 🙁

While many have been spilling their existential fear on social media, a psychologist reveals the science behind it. She says, “Oftentimes, that can lead to an increase of the stress hormone cortisol in the brain.” This seems to turn fear and uncertainty many folds than it already exists.

COPING

On the other hand, many Twitter and Tik Tok have put to place their most effective emotional coping strategy i.e., Humor. The best is to join the cake gang and accept that everything is a cake, without creating any fuss about it. They are leaning on the “Everything is cake” theory and practicing humor alongside. Becoming a part of the chaos is enabling the collective mood to lighten.
