The Best Of The Try Guys: YouTube’s Favourite Sensation

Published

on

The sensation may not exactly be the right word, for The Try Guys have been around for quite some time now, and their popularity only seems to increase. The inspiration at the start was to try out new things and step out of their comfort zones as a group of friends – Zach, Eugene, Keith, and Ned. They left BuzzFeed last year, started their own company, and now they boast of over six million subscribers on YouTube.
So, here are the best series that they have come up with, so far!

Eat the Menu

The Try Guys/YouTube

Yes, this show on their channel is exactly what it sounds like. One guy (Keith, of course) sits down and tackles entire menus. From Burger King to Olive Garden, they have made many videos. It is remarkable to see how excited and active Keith starts out, and how sleepy and aloof he gets by the end of it. And who can blame him? Eating entire rows of burgers in one sitting is not that easy, after all! The occasional guests who try out a dish or two on the episodes seem to share this sentiment – they are so in awe of Keith as he trudges on along the menus no matter what.

Candid Competition

The Try Guys/YouTube

Perhaps the show with the most controversy around it, Candid Competition is headed by Zach. In this, he includes huge stores – without their knowledge – in a competition to see who fares best in the showdown. Once, he had them design a custom birthday cake for him, and it was absolutely hilarious! Adorable that he is, he is not bogged down by the network continually cancelling the show.

Rank King

The Try Guys/YouTube

The tagline of this show is apt and straightforward: “I am right, you are wrong, shut up.” Headed by Eugene Lee Yang, the show has him ranking Disney movies, cheap beer, fruits, etc. The criteria for each are cleverly chosen and the jokes he cracks along the way will have you crying tears of laughter.

The Try Guys: Game Time

The Try Guys/YouTube

This is where all four of them sit down in their cute onesies and well, play games. It is a very laid-back and casual format – and it works because of how naturally it flows. The guys make jokes, tell stories, and have a good time throughout. From testing each other’s friendship to playing *Boink, Marry, Kill” – the show is a riot that you should not be missing out on.

The Try Guys: Parenthood

Via Buzzfeed

The Try Guys are about more than just laughter. They are not afraid to be emotional, vulnerable, or thoughtful – and this series that spans three years and ends with Ned and Ariel having their baby is incredibly beautiful and heartwarming.

‘365 Days’: Getting Banned Or A Sequel Coming-Up?

Published

on

‘365 Days’ grabbed eyeballs when it was released on 7th February 2020 on Netflix. The movie follows Laura (Anna-Maria Sieklucka), a Polish executive who is holidaying in Sicily when she is kidnapped by Massimo (Michele Morrone), a mafia boss who has been obsessed with finding Laura after seeing her from afar five years ago. He tells her that he will keep her captive for 365 days until she falls in love with him (spoiler alert, she does), and thus the troublesome scene is set. The movie is based on the first novel of a trilogy written by Blanka Lipińska–  365 DNI. YAY! That means it’s a three-part series.

Our new Christian Grey, Massimo aka Michele Morrone, became an internet sensation in the blink of an eye. His Instagram followers grew from 700,000 to 2.2 million within few days.

hellomagazine

All ‘365 Days’ fans and the actor’s fan are waiting for an update on the sequel. Morrone confirmed the sequel to ‘365 Days’, but he is not sure when the filming will start.  In an interview with Koimoi, he said,

“We’re going to shoot the second part. We still don’t know when because of the problem the whole world’s got with [COVID-19], but for sure we will make it.”
“For sure, we are going to make a sequel, a hundred per cent. But I don’t know when I’m going to start shooting because of the coronavirus problem.”

This Netflix movie broke various records-

It was the first movie to have two multiday periods as Netflix’s #1 movie in the US.

The film has thus had 10 days as #1, the second-highest in the chart’s history.

Despite the movie’s success, it received a lot of backlash.  It was criticised for romanticising kidnapping and rape. There is a standing petition to remove the movie from Netflix.  However, the star Massimo is of a different view.

Michele said,

“I was dealing with a tough time in my life when I decided to do 365 Days. I am nothing like the character in the film and it was a task for me to do this role because I don’t understand the world of a sex addict.”

Reacting to people petitioning it to be removed from Netflix, Michele says, “It is based on a novel and it’s someone vision. It’s fiction after all.” The actor also went on to compare the film with Disney’s Beauty and The Beast.

Raat Akeli Hai- What The Critics Have To Say

Published

Raat Akeli Hai, a movie starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui & Radhika Apte, is finally out on Netflix.

The story revolves around Social Issues in a very complicated and unpredictable manner, directed by Honey Trehan. A lot of people have been waiting for it to come out since it has such an epic star cast. While everyone had really high expectations, things came out to be a little unpredictable too with the reviews.

Entertainment times- 3/5 stars

“Raat Akeli Hai is an unpredictable whodunit, where ‘who did it’, is more interesting than the ‘how and why’. After Mukesh Chhabra who made his directorial debut with Dil Bechara, noted casting director Honey Trehan too has donned the director’s hat for the first time in this Agatha Christie styled investigative drama. However, what he lacks as a first time director is to infuse the grittiness that Chaubey or Bhardwaj bring to the table. An element of fear, urgency, nervous energy and tension are mandatory in crime mysteries. At 2 hours and 29 minutes, the film devoid of the thrill factor, feels long-winded and exhausting.”

“Raat Akeli Hai, understated and compelling, is a meticulously crafted whodunnit cast in the classic mould. It deals with shocking acts of moral depravity. But the film steers clear of exploitative sleaze, graphic violence and foul language. It is a genre film about a cop out to nail a murderer but it keeps worn out conventions down to the minimum.”

Raat Akeli Hai On Netflix Is Both A Middling Social Thriller And ...

“Raat Akeli Hai sends you on a wild goose chase, exploring the shady dealings between the police-politicians nexus in UP and a rich, reputable family fighting for relevance in their small community. As the secrets start tumbling out, the story gets darker.”

“The ‘chhuris’ are out in Raat Akeli Hai, a homegrown murder mystery on Netflix that doubles as an impressive directorial debut for Bollywood casting director Honey Trehan. It’s the rare mainstream Indian film that doesn’t seem to be in a rush to tell its story, and earns its daunting two-and-a-half hour runtime — deviating from the primary plot when it wants to, and fleshing out its archetypal characters with care.”

“Raat Akeli Hai, directed by Honey Trehan, grabs our attention right from the start. Its first five minutes are suspenseful and evocative: long shots of a car and a truck on a highway at night, lit only by their headlights; not a single word of dialogue; two murders. The victims, returning from Gwalior to Kanpur, were Raghubeer’s first wife and driver, killed five years ago.”

Even IMDb gave it a score of 7.6/10 which is considered to be pretty strong.
