Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan Shattering Homophobia

We know Ayushmann Khurrana not just as an exceptional actor, but also for the offbeat subjects that he chooses. The most recent one being Gay relationships and Homophobia. The trailer is brave and in the limited time of fewer than 3 minutes Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan shatters a lot of stereotypes that are against Homosexuals.

The Star Cast Par Excellence

Apart from Ayushmann Khurrana, the star cast includes Jitendra Kumar as Aman Tripathi, playing the love interest of Ayushmann. Neena Gupta as Sunaina Tripathi who is the mother of Aman. The role of Aman’s father is played by none other than Gajraj Rao.

Others in the star cast include Manurishi Chaddha, Sunita Rajwar, Maanvi Gagroo, Pankhuri Awasthy and Neeraj Singh.

Along with these powerhouses of performance, there is something more the makers have to excite us. The film will have a guest appearance by none other than Bhumi Pednekar.

What’s so special about Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan?

After the supreme court verdict on Section 377 a lot of progress has been seen in the kinds of movies made in Bollywood. Earlier Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga starring Sonam Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao came on the silver screen. The movie was fresh and it was lauded by the audience.

With Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan hitting the silver screen now, Bollywood’s take on the topic is expanding to Homophobia. The movie also has a “Zyada Family”. Take a look at the Zyada fun behind the scenes in the post below.

What’s so special about Ayushmann Khurrana?

Ayushmann Khurrana never fails to surprise the audience with his powerful performances and the unconventional seemingly “risky” topics that he takes up.  Right from talking about Sperm donation in Vicky donor to tackling the issue of body shaming and arranged marriages in Dum Lagake Haisha. Ayushmann didn’t stop there. He went on to do roles like a blind man in Andhadun, someone whose parents had late pregnancy in Badhaai Ho.

Later Ayushmann’s choice of movies took him to roles fighting untouchability (Article 15), playing a cross-gender role in Dream Girl and with Bala he played an individual with premature balding.

Now Ayushmann Khurrana is about to appear on Silver Screen as Kumar, a gay individual in love with a man. Not just that Kumar takes up on a fight to convince the family of his Love for their relationship. Look at how excited Ayushmann is for the release.

Legendary Singer S.P Balasubrahmanyam No More

S.P Balasubrahmanyam

Legendary playback singer S.P Balasubrahmanyam breathed his last at a private hospital in Chennai on Friday. He was 74.

After testing positive for COVID-19, S.P Balasubrahmanyam was hospitalised in August at MGM Healthcare, and while he reportedly did well initially, he took a turn for the worse, and was put on a ventilator and ECMO support. His condition had, however, deteriorated further in the last 24 hours, warranting maximum life support. Authorities at the hospital confirmed that the singer was on life support. On Wednesday, S.P Balasubramanyam allegedly had mild fever and the hospital authorities said the singer was in extreme critical condition.

He tested negative for COVID-19 on September 7, but remained on the ventilator and ECMO even as he took part in passive physiotherapy.

The nation is in shock after having lost a celebrated musician and fans of S.P Balasubramanyam are in grief. The social media is flooded with condolences from the late musician’s celebrities and fans. Director Venkat Prabhu is the one who first shared the news on his Twitter page and shocked the fans. SPB may have left this world, but he will keep his legacy alive with his soulful songs.

Balasubrahmanyam, popularly known as S.P Balasubrahmanyam, made his singing debut in 1966 with the Telugu film Sri Sri Sri Maryada Ramanna. He has sung over 40,000 songs in various different languages such as, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada as well.

Balasubrahmanyam was also an artist with a voice-over. He was actor Kamal Hassan’s voice-over artist, whenever the latter’s Tamil films were dubbed in Telugu. In a few movies, Balasubrahmanyam acted as well.

S.P. Balasubrahmanyam is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. Both are playback singers.

Many celebrities poured their heart out and expressed their grief on his ultimate demise.

MGM Healthcare where he breathed his last released an official statement as well.

For generations of actors from MGR, Sivaji Ganesan and Gemini Ganesan, down to the stars of the present, Balasubrahmanyam sang thousands of songs in South Indian languages and Hindi for five decades, and is the winner of six national awards. He also won the hearts of a number of worldwide fans for whom his songs have marked milestones.

“Paadum Nila” (Singing Moon) had a lilting voice, with the finest traces of great singers, as his fans called him. His was A.M Raja’s breeze-like voice, with the softness of P.B. Srinivas and Mohamed Rafi’s effortlessness, ”said film music historian Vamanan.

Effortlessly, his voice captured diverse human emotions and feelings. He would sing a spoof in one scene—Annatha adurar othiko a laugh in his voice—and he would express the anguished mind powerfully in another scene by rendering—Unna nenachan paatu padichen thangame as seen in Apoorva Sagodharargal. In addition to scoring, he appeared in movies such as Manathil Uruthi Vendum, Keladi Kanmani and Sikaram.
