Meghan Markle's Looks for Her Final Royal Outing

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are back to Canada after attending their last event as Royals. In this post take a view at Meghan Markle’s Looks for Her Final Royal Outing.

Meghan Markle was spotted wearing some best looks earlier this month as she engaged in her final tour as a Royal. Each of the dress that she chose was bright, elegant and perfectly selected for every outing.

The first appearance of the Duke and Duchess engaged in was the Endeavor Funds Awards at Mansion House.  Meghan opted for a pencil dress with cap- sleeves. It was radiant turquoise color. The dress was a creation of Victoria Beckham. In addition, Meghan completed the look with a Stella McCartney clutch and Jimmy Choo heels.

The Duchess of Sussex made a triumphant return to the UK in electric blue for the Endeavour Fund Awards. Dress: Victoria Beckham Earrings: Roxanne First Bracelet: Jessica McCormack Clutch: Stella McCartney Heels: Manolo Blahnik The Duchess of Sussex made her first official public appearance back in the UK at the Endeavour Fund Awards on Thursday evening wearing a stunning new dress by Victoria Beckham. The Turquoise "T-shirt Fitted Dress" ($1,285) is “inspired by the simplicity of a t-shirt” with short sleeves, a midi-length pencil skirt, and an edgy silver zip-down back. Meghan has worn Victoria Beckham a number of times in the past but this is my favorite VB piece to date – and probably one of my all-time favorite looks on her. Meghan paired the deceptively simple dress with gold & navy accessories – we saw a new pair of gold earrings – the Gold Snake Hoops ($137) from London-based jeweler Roxanne First, a new bracelet – the Chi Chi Rose Gold & Diamond Bracelet from Jessica McCormack, and the Lucia Plexi Clutch from Stella McCartney (2013 collection – no longer available). She finished the look with her trusty go-to Manolo Blahnik BB Pumps in navy suede ($665). This minimalist but eye-catching outfit was complemented by a bolder make-up look than we’re accustomed to for Royal engagements. Her close friend & make-up artist, Daniel Martin, was responsible for the more glamorous look reminiscent of her pre-Duchess days. I think this is signaling what we can expect to come from the next chapter of Meghan’s public life – a return to the more glamorous, more fashion-forward, more playful side of Meghan’s style that has been dulled by the more conservative Royal wardrobe. I cannot tell you how excited I am to see what she chooses for the rest of her appearances in the UK! When compared with Meghan’s previous Endeavour Fund Awards looks, this was definitely unexpected! But I think it was a welcome bright spot – & reassurance in an uncertain time (Royal Family Drama, Brexit, CoVid19) that the Sussexes are better than ever. Swipe for more pictures of this & past years’ looks! What did you think of this look? Share in the comments below!

This look was for a surprise school visit that took place on Friday. Meghan can be seen in a casual business outfit.

The event was held at Robert Clack Upper School in East London. Meghan wore ME + Em Fringe Boucle jacket. In addition, she carried a Rejina Pyo handbag and wore Jennifer Chimaldi Beige and black pumps. After that, Meghan made an appearance in bright red dress. Take a look at it below.

The Duchess of Sussex made a stunning entrance at the Mountbatten Festival of Music at Royal Albert Hall this evening. This is one of the final engagements that Meghan & Harry will be carrying out before stepping down from being working members of the Royal Family. This evening’s performance marked the 75th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War, and the 80th Anniversary of the formation of Britain’s Commandos. It was an especially emotional evening for Harry as starting April 1st, he will no longer be using his military appointments (although he will retain them for the foreseeable future). The couple arrived in the hall to a minute-long standing ovation and thoroughly enjoyed the performance which included world-class musicians, composers & conductors of the massed bands of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines. Proceeds from the event go to the Royal Marines Charity which supports retired Marines & their families, and to Clic Sargent – the UK’s leading childhood cancer charity. Meghan wore a caped evening gown in the perfect scarlet hue to complement Harry’s uniform. More details coming soon!

The third event Meghan attended was the Mountbatten Festival of Music held on Saturday. For this event, Meghan opted for a red dress. In addition to Meghan, Prince Harry also was spotted in red.

The Duchess of Sussex wowed at the Mountbatten Festival of Music this evening in a scarlet dress & matching accessories. Dress: Safiyaa Earrings: Simone Rocha Clutch: Manolo Blahnik Heels: Aquazzura The Duchess of Sussex chose a bold new dress from Safiyaa for the evening’s performance. The stunning floor-length Kalika dress ($1,693) has a raised collar, shoulder cape, and two draped panels which trail down the back of the dress to the floor. I’ve included a picture of the back of the dress in my collage as there weren’t many photos of it but it is gorgeous. This is the second Safiyaa dress we have seen on Meghan – she wore a similar caped evening gown in pale blue during the 2018 Royal Tour. Swipe for pics! Meghan accessorized the elegant evening gown with accessories in the same scarlet shade including a new pair of heels from Aquazzura, Meghan’s favorite shoe brand. The Purist Pumps ($625) in red suede have a 95mm heel and elegant pointed toe. Meghan also carried a new clutch from Manolo Blahnik – the Capri clutch ($1,815) in red satin and featuring the brand’s iconic jeweled buckle. She added a touch of sparkle with a new pair of red crystal bead earrings from Simone Rocha. The long drop earrings added the perfect shimmer without detracting from the rest of this bold look. Once again, we saw the stunning work of Daniel Martin – the Duchess sported a smoky eye and glowing cheeks. With her hair sleek and straight, the overall effect was chic, elegant, and classic! It’s not easy to dress to complement a man in a red uniform but the decision to match the color of Harry’s Royal Marine’s Uniform was an exceptionally smart move. Both were equally eye-catching when being photographed together before the event – but then once they were inside the theater, the red actually made them inconspicuous amongst all of the other uniforms. Tonight’s look is now warring with Thursday’s Endeavour Fund outfit as my favorite of the year – and perhaps all time? What did you think? Did you prefer this Safiyaa gown or the blue one from Fiji?

A post shared by HRH Duchess Of Sussex (@theduchessofsuxess) on

The Duke and the Duchess coordinated with each other. The dress was a Safiyaa Caped dress

In addition, Meghan sported a red clutch and plumps by Stuart Weitzman.

The last look that Meghan chose for her outing was a bold emerald green dress. The dress has a cape to it. She wore it on the occasion of Commonwealth Day Service.

Here Are 7 Surprising Facts On Emeralds

Published

on

The name emerald simply means a green gem. That is perfectly logical, for if there is one defining characteristic of emeralds, it is their impossibly rich green color.  Take a look at the facts and history of emeralds and their legends and associations, as well as a peek at some of the most spectacular emerald jewelry the world has ever known.

 1. Emerald Has History

The oldest emeralds are about 2.97 billion years old. The first known emeralds were mined in Egypt around 1500 BC. One of Cleopatra’s favorite stones was emerald, and her passion for the stone was well documented. Emeralds were discovered in South America in the 16th century by the Spanish. They were used by the Incas well before this discovery. The Spanish traded emeralds across Europe and Asia for precious metals, which opened up the emerald trade to the rest of the world.

2. They Have High Value In The Market

Top-quality emeralds can be worth more than diamonds on a per-carat basis. Most emeralds have some type of inclusion or imperfection, and emeralds without imperfections or inclusions are very rare. Instead of the term imperfection, dealers like to reference emerald inclusions as an internal Jardin. Color, clarity, cut, and carat weight are four factors used to determine the value of an emerald.

3. Emeralds are not very strong themselves

They are the most delicate and brittle of the four gemstones and don’t take pressure very well. Because emeralds are so brittle, finding a good quality gemstone is difficult and other materials are often introduced into them. These inclusions are accepted, giving each emerald a distinct personality. Also, Emeralds are the only gemstones to have a diamond-cut named after them, the classic rectangular step-cut.

4. World’s Largest Emerald

Emeralds

The Bahia Emerald is one of the largest emeralds and contains the largest single stone ever found. The stone, weighing approximately 341 kg originated from Bahia, Brazil and is emerald crystals embedded in host rock. It narrowly escaped flooding during Hurricane Katrina in 2005 during a period of storage in a warehouse in New Orleans. It was subsequently reported stolen in September 2008 from a secured vault in South El Monte in Los Angeles County, California.

5. Emerald Can Be Produced Synthetically

Emeralds

Because of emerald’s high value, attempts were long made to manufacture it synthetically. These efforts finally met with success between 1934 and 1937, when a German patent was issued to cover its synthesis. Synthetic emeralds are currently manufactured in the United States by either a molten-flux process or a hydrothermal method; in the latter technique, aquamarine crystals are placed in a water solution at elevated temperature and pressure and used as a seed to produce emerald.

6. Why The Color?

The most important factor that determines an emerald’s value is its color. Emeralds are made from Beryl, just like aquamarine and they get their green color from chromium and vanadium. Emeralds are formed when chromium, vanadium, and iron are present in the mineral beryl. The varying presence of these three elements gives emerald its range of color. Chromium and vanadium make an intense green color. Iron gives the stone a bluish tint.

Emeralds: More Precious Than Diamonds

Emeralds

Did you know that diamonds are not the world’s most valuable gems? There is another gemstone that, in its most fine form. It can be even more rare and costly than a fine diamond of the same size. The gemstone that can make this impressive claim is the emerald.  Columbia yields some of the finest ones in the world. It is also responsible for mining over 50% of all emerald production worldwide! The other two top countries they come from are Brazil and Zambia
