Curl Up Your Hair Without Heat, Here’s How

Certainly, perfecting that gorgeous beach curls is a lot of work. Adding a heat tool to the equation takes extra effort. Though using a wand or flat iron does give you that wavy look, some days, you just want to skip the heat or you might not have your tools handy. Besides, we all know the dangers of heat on hair. Luckily, heat isn’t the only way to get yourself some curls. There are actually a number of easy ways to achieve the same results without a touch of heat.

 1. A Cold Blow-Dry Method

Via Dyson

If you’ve already mastered straight and sleek hair via the classic blowdry, you might consider switching up your method slightly with blasts of cool air instead. After you’ve let your hair air-dry about halfway, you should divide your hair into sections as you normally would. Use the cool setting on your blow-dryer, making sure that your blow-dryer is moving continuously from root to tip. Keep the blow-dryer about six inches away from your hair while you dry it.  This method shouldn’t take considerably longer, but you may need to keep a serum or spray-on leave-in-conditioner at the ready to tame fly-away strands.

2. Braid Your Hair

Via WikiHow

One of the easiest ways to get loose waves without heat is to braid your hair at night and sleep with it in. That way, when you wake up in the morning, all you have to do is undo the braids and apply to smooth hair oil to tame any frizz. A small dab of hair oil also would do the trick. And within a night with zero efforts, you get a silky smooth curly look. Isn’t this the most affordable curling method ever? The trick is the number of braids. You could do one or two for long curls. A french plait is even better. Try three or four plaits for an even better look.

3. Scrunch Your Hair

Via Kickstarter

If you’re blessed with hair that has some texture, this is probably the most simple technique. Spray some sea salt spray on damp hair, from mid-shaft to ends, and scrunch upwards. This technique will encourage your natural waves for that chic beach vibe. Place the ends of your hair in your palm and slowly move it towards your scalp/roots. Once the entire length is your hand, gently press it. Kind of pump the hair few times gently. You will feel the hardness of the gel being released. Move your hand down and let it down.

4. Hair Rollers Are Under Rated

Via YouTube

You might think hair rollers are more your grandma’s thing, but they don’t have to be! These babies can easily give you heat fewer glam curls. On damp hair, start rolling sections from the bottom up and secure with a bobby pin. Let it dry for 2 to 3 hours or overnight. You’ll have gorgeous waves and can apply hairspray to set them. Use this age-old method to get amazing benefits.

5. Put Missing Socks To Use

Via YouTube

Here’s another creative but effective method. You get to use those nasty missing socks and put them to some good use. Cut the tip-off of an old sock and roll it up to get a doughnut shape. Or you can just get a donut bun, but that’s no fun. Once you have your sock bun, pull your ponytail through the hole, and then pull sections of your hair through it to create a large bun. Again, let the bun sit overnight, and pull it out to get gorgeous wavy locks.

6. Use A Headband

Via Youtube

All you need for this method is a good old headband and a texturizing product. Put your headband on over your hair and dampen your locks with texture spray. Twist pieces of your hair and tuck them into the headband. You should end up with a funky updo situation. Add even more dampness to that updo and wait a few hours or overnight for it to completely dry. Then, unwrap it and you should have luscious curls.

7. Twisting Is Fun Too

Your Stylist AJ

This French twist technique is a super easy way to achieve salon-like waves. Twist sections of your hairdo over each other and gather the twists into little buns. You should leave the twist braids in for at least six hours, and then gently pull them out to get the final look. Brushing out your curls afterwards will actually make your hair frizzier, so simply use your fingertips to detangle your locks.

Hope you loved all these simple yet effective techniques. Also read- Amazing Tips For Your Hair

Affordable Hype Sneakers That Will Never Go Out Of Style

Collecting sneakers is a hobby more popular now than ever before – but it can also be an expensive one. The thinking goes, cool sneakers aren’t cheap and affordable hype sneakers aren’t cool, right? Not necessarily.

Not everyone can afford to constantly pay upwards of $200 for the newest sneaker release. However, getting your hands on a good looking pair of cheap sneakers is actually much easier than most think. Gone are the days where customers have to spend vast amounts of money to look fly from the ground up.

That is why we’ve put together the definitive guide to (relatively) cheap sneakers that we believe should be in every self-respecting sneakerhead’s rotation.

Nike Air Force 1

Nike Air Force Sneakers

via- Flight club

The fact that a true OG like the Nike Air Force 1 can still be picked up on the low makes all those Ls trying to cop the latest hyped sneaker a little more tolerable. If you don’t already own a pair of all-white AF1s, you need to do yourself a favor and stock up. The best part about choosing the Nike Air Force 1 life is that you can find the sneaker at basically any retailer. Also, if you’re looking to start your collection with affordable hype shoes, any AF1 would be a great start.

Adidas Originals Gazelle

Affordable Hype

via- JD Sports

The Gazelle, the cousin of the Adidas Samba, is as sleek as… well… a real-life gazelle. If you’re sensing a pattern here it’s because there is one. Lower price-point sneakers are often more minimalist and subdued than their more expensive counterparts. The Adidas Originals Gazelle proves this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, with a versatile design that’s easy on the eyes.

PUMA Suede

Affordable Hype

Converse One Star Skate

Affordable Hype

via- Tactics

The ultimate low-top sneaker in black suede, the Converse One Star Skate is made for those of you who actually do skate on occasion. With more foxing in the toe and padding, the sneaker can take more of a beating than most other sneakers, which, when combined with its price of under $100, makes it a very attractive option for those on a shoestring budget.

adidas Originals Stan Smith

via- Flipkart

The Air Force 1 is to Nike what Stan Smith is to Adidas. A classy, sleek silhouette that goes as well with a pair of black skinny jeans as it does with some colorful, summer-ready shorts. Like the AF1, it’s often available on sale at select retailers. If you’re bad at making up your mind, just know that Stan Smith comes in many different colors and materials, meaning there should be a pair for everyone’s tastes and preferences.
