Manali is the to-go destination when it comes to going on hikes with your gang, skiing in the snow, or your dream romantic getaway with your spouse. In addition, it is also a hub for all the enthusiasts of adventure sports. Not just that you can also recreate a lot of iconic Bollywood scenes and live the ultimate Bollywood experience here while you are on your Manali trip.

HADIMBA TEMPLE

The ancient temple in Manali is dedicated to the wife of Pandu’s son, Bhima who was called Hadimba. Certainly, it is one of the best places to visit during your Mananli trip. One of the prominent features of this temple is the surrounding Dhungri Forest. These forest has a lot of trees of pine. The temple is in the shape of a pagoda. In addition, the temple not only attracts people because of its awesome architecture but also because of its religious significance.

VASHISHT HOT WATER SPRINGS

This place is located about 3 km away from Manali. It is a temple that is famous for its hot water spring. One can find stone-carved pyramids here. It is built, to commemorate sage Vashisht. The hot water springs are known for their medicinal properties and mind-body relaxation.

 

 

MUSEUM OF HIMACHAL CULTURE AND FOLK ART

Built with the aim of promoting the local art and culture of the region this museum is located very close to the Hadimba Temple. Most importantly, here you can witness unique relics, weapons, instruments, and many other artefacts.  

 

 

 

 

TIBETAN MONASTERIES 

Manali is home to many Tibetan monasteries. Moreover, there is a considerable amount of the Tibetan population that has made Manali their home. These monasteries introduce us to Tibetan art and crafts. 

MANU TEMPLE

The Manu temple is located about 3 km away from the Mall road in Manali. There is a frequent flow of tourists here. The temple, as known by the name is a name of Lord Manu. In addition, the temple witnesses a lot of religious tourists and tourists that are foreigners.

This beach has a unique and enchanting thing of itself. Also the beach could only be reached after travelling via a Dirt Sugarcane Road.

Also popular by the name of ‘Shipwrecked beach’ for the mythological mystery of a pirate ship called Panagiotis. This beach is perhaps the best of the beaches in the Turks and Caicos Island and contains more than 1000 acres of land. Parrot Cay has about more than 61 beach resorts and is a private island. This beach is accessible from Providenciales by a 35 minute boat ride.

 

7.Trunk Bay, United States Virgin Islands

It is a beach on St. John in the United States and is a part if the Virgin Islands National Park. This place is famous for its Leatherback Turtles which are found only in the USVI. The beach, as a whole is divided into 2 halves, one the main Bay and the other half which is the swimming area for the commons.

Anthony Bourdain’s Last Book To Be Released Soon!

It has been a year and a half since Anthony Bourdain’s death, and the culinary world is still recovering. His work had an incredible impact on people all around the world. The approach he employed in his shows showed a deep respect and curiosity for the many different cultures. And thus, the news of a posthumous book by him certainly has everyone excited. It is titled “World Travel: An Irreverent Guide.”

It is said that he started writing the book along with his friend, Laurie Woolever. Woolever also worked as his assistant for a long time. Moreover, it was he who brought this project to completion. Though the book is mostly written by Anthony, Woolever has added essays and more information to it as well.

These essays have been penned by people who were close to Anthony Bourdain and knew him personally. 

World Travel: An Irreverent Guide

The publisher of the book has let us in on more about the book. It is going to offer delightful introductions into how to get to various travel locations. Apart from that, you will also find suggestions on where and what to eat when there. Bourdain had a distinct personality on screen. His wit, charm, and warm persona are sure to shine through in the book as well. He was a chef once too. Thus, his expert knowledge and experience over the years as a TV host (Parts Unknown) also makes the book a must read.

He truly valued the people around him wherever he went. The unforgettable and remarkable work he did in his lifetime will always be cherished.

At 61, Anthony Bourdain passed away due to suicide in June of 2018. At that time, it sparked a much needed conversation about suicide, depression, and mental health in general too.

Be a go-getter thus and make the most of let’s say all the weekends that would be an off for you from work and therefore, humdrum schedules too. Mostly, what happens is that we are too busy to keep tracks of free days and then planning takes time, so mostly, we invest our time, entirely on thinking. For more action, your holidays need a foretelling where you can plan for them much before time!

Below given is a preview of weekend holidays that could be used rather wisely by you!

February 21-23 (3 days)

Maha Shivratri falls on the 21st of February which is observed as a day off in most states. Club it with Saturday and Sunday, and have a nice 3-day road-trip with your most-loved ones!

March 7-10 (4 Days)

You gotta take an off on the 9th, Monday, to enjoy short holiday time with your friends and family and that too at the time of Holi. Hope, you book your tickets ASAP!!

April 2-6 (5 Days)

2nd is Ram Navami and 6th is Mahavir Jayanti. A one-day off on your part gives a 5-day long weekend holiday to actually book your tickets and travel someplace far! Yes, think fast cause tickets have to be booked beforehand!

May 1-3 (3 Days)

Labour Day is supposed to be a holiday. Again, you get a chutti from Friday to Sunday for your “me” time, and also to plan into travelling for a short span with your family or friends.

Id-e-Milad is a holiday in most parts of India and it’s likely to be on November 29 (Thursday) in 2020. See if you can get a day off on November 30 (Friday) and you get the much-needed break to recover from all the binge-eating during Eid.

November 28-30 (3 Days)
