The journey was not easy for her. She got a big shock, which was later followed by denial. However, the actress used this as an opportunity to reach out to others who needed help. In addition, she instilled hope in others and made them realize that they are not alone in their struggles with cancer.
She also started a blog called “THE YELLOW DIARIES” during her treatment. O this blog she would post her journey of treatment. She also used the blog as a platform to advocate the oppression and the feeling of the burden put on cancer patients by society.
In addition to advocacy, Lisa has supported various campaigns like “Pantene Beautiful Lengths” and ‘ Multiple Myelome M-Moving Toward The Cure Walk’.
She has a saree collection of which each saree comes with a story. The story is about life, love and cancer.

When I was asked to be part of this campaign I questioned really? I have no clue where life has brought me or is taking me, all I know is that I have immense gratitude for it and also that I want to celebrate each phase of my life. As much as I have my goals charted for myself I have also learned to respect the unpredictability of life. I really admire you @manishmalhotra05 and I am so glad to be a part of this❤️ #2020CelebrationEdit #ManishMalhotra #ManishMalhotraBeauty #MyGlamm @ManishMalhotraBeauty @myglamm
Tahira was diagnosed with pre-invasive breast cancer in 2018. Tahira underwent a mastectomy and is now one of the Bollywood Women Who Defeated Cancer.
Tahira’s journey was not an easy one. For instance, she was not quite ready to share the news with the world. However, she went ahead and publicly announced it. This was done to spread awareness and remove the taboo against the disease.

An opportunity to give competition to the Kardashians just went wasted! A week back I mentioned about ‘my badge of honour’ that I was going to receive. And I did and am happy to share about it with the intention of it being received with love. As that’s the only reason I am posting it. Love for self and gratitude for the universe. The picture might be disturbing for some, but these drains have become my dumbells for a few days. I was detected with DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) in my right breast with high grade malignant cells. Simply put stage 0 cancer/ pre-cancerous stage, with cancer cells multiplying in a contained area. The result I have become a half Indian version of Angelina Jolie (since only one breast was involved)! I told my doctor now is the time to give some competition to the Kardashians since Pamela is passé. But no one listened to me, so now I have a portion of my back tissue in my breast. Perhaps now I can do chin-ups with my breasts! Jokes apart, this obstacle has given me a new definition of life. Respect it’s unpredictability and have the faith and courage to be the hero of your own drama of life. The invincible human spirit is God like, gives you the courage to endure and the will to revive. There is nothing that human spirit can’t do. Also I want women of all ages to be aware. I am 35, and I was returned twice over from a mammogram. If any symptoms come up, think of it as a protective force and get yourselves examined. Also we are so obsessed with boobs. This mastectomy has left me with even more self love! Big, small, left or right inclined , gravity pulling or defying, or even none, each breast the presence or lack of it has a story to tell. Mine has made me a 2.0 version of myself! This post is dedicated to awareness, self love and resilience of a warrior that I know each one of us possesses❤️ #breastcancerawareness #selflove #determination #faith #bodhisattva #bodhisattvaoftheearth
She is now an awareness advocate vouching for the importance of early detection.

In a recent interview, Mukesh Khanna revealed that a sequel is being planned since over two years now. He explains that the second version is supposedly contemporary but is rooted in Indian values. Supposedly, he was aware of people’s curiosity to know aage kya hua and thus, has been working on Shaktimaan 2. Now, with the lockdown in full force, he believes that the demand to bring the show back is on an all time high.
Shaktimaan has always been a favourite Hindi-language superhero TV show. It was initially aired on Doordarshan from 1997 to 2005. Mukesh Khanna, not only was the protagonist but also the producer and the co-curator of the famous show. Shaktimaan showcased Mukesh Khanna in two roles. One was that of Pandit Gangadhar Vidhyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastri, a photographer for the newspaper- Aaj ki Awaaz. The other was of course, the life-saver superhero with morals- Shaktimaan. Reportedly, Shaktimaan attained superhero powers through rigorous meditation. His powers were rooted in the five element- space, earth, air, fire, and water.
Later on, Mukesh Khanna, the protagonist also expressed desire to make a film on Shaktimaan. But the feature film idea never came into existence because of funding issues. Now, Khanna, who also curated the original show, is overwhelmed by the netizen’s demands to bring the show back. He exclaims that they will get back to full-on production of the prequel once the lockdown comes to an end.
